2009 Show Review

South Island Hospitality Show 2009

The South Island Hospitality Show 09, held at the Westpac Arena in Christchurch on the 21st and 22nd of June, cooked up a fantastic event, with 116 exhibitors participating, attracting a total of 2387 trade visitors over the 2 show days.

We are pleased with the quality of the visitors to the show, and that many of our exhibitors were delighted with the contacts and sales generated through the show.

Tradeshows are always a big investment in terms of time, money and staff resources, and The South Island Hospitality Show 09 was no exception. We expected from the outset a certain level of reluctance on part of both exhibitors and visitors due to the current economic situation; and whilst the show did get off to a slower than anticipated start on Sunday, the enthusiasm from all who visited, and those who exhibited was apparent when the doors closed on Monday afternoon.

2009 Exhibitor Quote

"Thank you for all your assistance before and during the South Island Hospitality Show held in June 2009. We found the quality of visitors to be very high and interested in our products and services. We have calculated that our return on investment to be over $125,000 from the show and signed up contract during, immediately following and also in the months following the show. Contracts that we can specifically point back to the trade show.

We would not hesitate to again profile our business at the show and we are looking forward to it in 2011."
